The e-mail will include the name and address you used to subscribe to the FareShare Gazette.  If you use other e-mail addresses you will need to give this one to make any changes in your membership status.

All your messages for FareShare MUST be sent to: recipes@fareshare.net
Do not use the 'reply' function of your email program.

PLEASE NOTE that all posts to the Gazette are to be in PLAIN TEXT (ASCII) only (not styled or so-called Microsoft Rich Text or html) so set your e-mail program accordingly in the section for options or preferences for sending e-mail; no fancy fonts or colors and no backgrounds or embedded images.

Those of you exporting recipes from MasterCook should set your export preferences to text (.txt).  If your contributions come in anything except plain text they may not be posted.

Do not send attachments.

When you receive your first Gazette, please read it carefully as it contains a lot of useful information aside from posts by the members.  (See below)

Recipes do not have to be formatted in any particular recipe program style although they will all eventually end up in MasterCook format for this website.

The instructions for posting to the Gazette as well as for removing your name from our mailing list are in each edition of the newsletter.

Please note that all e-mail pertaining to FareShare is to go to one of the FareShare addresses - do not send messages by hitting your "reply to" button as they will NOT go to the correct place.

We do not post mass unedited information from other web sites. If you find recipes or information of interest on other web sites you are welcome to format the information in your own words or to convert
the recipes to plain text with the appropriate credit given to each recipe and submit a few at a time.

This list is closely moderated and we do not permit flaming or "spam".

Most of the time you will receive your Gazette from <buddy@connect.ab.ca> but occasionally you may receive them from other e-mail addresses as we have various backup options available to us in case of problems with the system. This is why all your email to us must go to an "@fareshare.net" address unless we notify you otherwise.

If your service provider uses spam blocking (such as AOL), you will need to put all the FareShare addresses into your address book or whatever system is required by your provider so your FareShare e-mail is not bounced back to us.

If your Gazettes bounce more than three times you will be removed from our membership. If this happens because you are unable to access your email but still want to be a member send an email to recipes@fareshare.net requesting to be put back on the list. Your FareShare Gazettes are numbered consecutively so you will know when you are missing any. Unfortunately we are unable to send you missing issues so it is a good idea to keep your mailbox from filling up.
