21 ounces cherry pie filling -- (1 can)
Powdered sugar to dust over top -- optional

2. Add the almond extract. Stir in the flour and baking powder. Mix until
smooth.

3. Butter a 13x9-inch cake pan. Turn the mixture into the pan.

4. Spoon the pie filling into the cake, in 16 spots, spacing 4 spoonfuls

Quick Chicken Saute with Bacon

Recipe By : Joanne Catanzarite, Baden, PA
Serving Size : 2 Preparation Time :0:00
Categories : Volume 10-07 Jul 2007

Amount Measure Ingredient -- Preparation Method
-------- ------------ --------------------------------
3/4 pound boneless skinless chicken breasts
1/8 teaspoon salt
2 slices bacon -- cut into 1/2" pieces (2 to 3)
1 1/2 green onions -- with tops, thinly sliced
[1 1/2 to 2]
1 1/2 tablespoons white wine
Salt and pepper -- to taste
Hot rice -- for serving (optional)

Slicing across the grain, cut chicken into 1/2-inch slices and toss with
salt. Brown the bacon in a large frying pan. Remove from pan. Put chicken
in the pan and sear over Medium-High heat, stirring frequently, about 7
minutes.

Return the bacon to the pan and cook for 5 minutes. Add the wine and stir
with a wooden spoon to deglaze the bottom of pan. Stir in the green onions
and season to taste with salt and pepper. Serve over rice.

Serves 2.

NOTES : Bobbie's Note: Here's a very tasty chicken recipe. A little
chicken broth could be added to make more juice to dampen the rice.
