Green Bean Mold (Sformato di fagiolini)

Amount Measure Ingredient -- Preparation Method
-------- ------------ --------------------------------
1 pound green beans -- steamed until
thoroughly softened then diced
2 cups basic besciamella sauce
[bechamel sauce]
8 ounces mortadella -- diced
[Italian bologna-like sausage]
[for want of a better description]
4 ounces freshly grated Parmigiano Reggiano
2 large eggs
Salt and freshly ground black pepper
1 cup unflavored breadcrumbs
4 tablespoons butter -- at room temperature

Preheat the oven to 350F (180C).

Place all the ingredients in the bowl of a food processor and puree.

Grease a round 10-inch pan with butter and spread with breadcrumbs.

Pour in the puree; level with a spatula; dust with the breadcrumbs and bake
for 30 minutes.

Slice the bean mold and serve hot.
