This is so simple a recipe I made it last night and though I would share
it with anyone who has never made green beans this way. Sometimes the
simple recipes are the best.
Steam some green beans until they are done add a tablespoon or two of
butter and stir until melted. Liberally sprinkle with garlic salt.
That's it -- put in a bowl and serve.
I eat the leftovers cold out of the fridge the next day as a snack food.

--------  ------------  --------------------------------
                        onion -- chopped
                        canned mushrooms
   1      teaspoon      Kitchen Bouquet
     1/2  cup           red wine
     1/2  cup           ketchup
I fried a bit of onion, added some canned mushrooms, warmed that all up;
then I put a squirt (teaspoon?) of Kitchen Bouquet, 1/2 cup of red wine,
and 1/2 cup of Ketchup into the pan swirled it all around and brought it
to a boil. Poured it on steaks and mashed potatoes. It was great.
So simple, so easy to do.
