                            Noodle Supper Pie
Recipe By :
Serving Size : 6 Preparation Time :0:00
Categories : Pasta Volume 3-5 May 2000
Amount Measure Ingredient -- Preparation Method
-------- ------------ --------------------------------
  1 pound sausages -- smoked
                        or regular
  3 1/4 ounces broad noodles -- cooked
  2 teaspoons instant minced onion
     1/2 cup creamed cottage cheese
  1 cup sour cream
  3 eggs -- beaten
     1/4 teaspoon salt
     1/8 teaspoon pepper
     1/2 cup cornflake crumbs
  2 tablespoons butter or margarine
Preheat oven to 350F. Grease a 9-inch pie plate.
Divide the sausages into two equal portions. Cut the sausages
in one portion in half lengthwise then in quarters crosswise,
to make 8 pieces per sausage. Cut the remaining sausages in half
lengthwise then in half crosswise, to make 4 pieces per sausage.
If you are using regular uncured sausages brown them in a frying
pan.
Combine the noodles, onion, cottage cheese, sour cream, eggs,
salt, pepper and the sausage eighths (the smaller pieces).
Pour the noodle mixture into the prepared pie plate; sprinkle
with cornflake crumbs and dot with butter or margarine.
Bake for 20 minutes then arrange the rest of the pieces of sausage
on top of the pie in a spoke pattern. Bake for approximately 10
minutes more or until the sausages are hot through.
Remove from the oven and let stand for 10 minutes.
Cut in wedges to serve.
