  1 1/2         ounces  gin
  1              ounce  lemon juice
  1           teaspoon  sugar -- or simple syrup
                        Club soda

Shake gin, lemon juice and sugar with cracked ice. Strain into a tall 
glass. Add ice cubes and club soda to fill. Stir lightly.

To make a simple syrup: heat 2 cups of sugar and a pint of water
just to the boil. Store covered in a cool place and use as needed.

If you use sugar use superfine sugar or granulated sugar dissolved
in a little liquid.

--------  ------------  --------------------------------
     1/2         pound  butter -- (225 g)
     1/4      teaspoon  celery salt -- (1 mL)
  1           teaspoon  garlic salt -- (5 mL)
  1           teaspoon  onion salt -- (5 mL)
     1/2      teaspoon  paprika -- (2 mL)
  3        tablespoons  Worcestershire sauce -- (45 mL)
  12              cups  prepared cereals -- such as
                        Cheerios, Shreddies or Corn Chex -- thin pretzel
  1             sticks  and peanuts -- mixed together

Melt butter, add Worcestershire sauce and seasonings. Mix well.

Pour over mixture of cereals, pretzel sticks and peanuts in a large
roasting pan. Toss lightly several times to coat the cereals.

Bake in a 275F (140C) oven for two hours.

Store in airtight containers.
